CHC Head of Finance North America

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Head of Finance CHC, the NA Head of Finance is responsible for all areas of Finance impacting the US, Canada and Puerto Rico legal entities for Sanofi CHC and acts as the business partner to Sanofi CHC NA leadership team. The position ensures that the proper linkages between strategic, operating and capital plans are maintained from a financial perspective. Working to support all process teams, the position helps support corporate objectives through integration across functions and business units.
This role serves as a member of the North America CHC GBU Leadership team, serves as main contact for internal and external parties as it relates to North America CHC Finance activities and is also member of the CHC Finance Leadership team as well as the Sanofi Regional Finance Council in North America.
Job Responsibilities
Provide financial business partner support to the Head of NA CHC and the Leadership team.
Give guidance/direction and recommendations to the N.A CHC teams in achieving Sales and BOI targets.
Lead forecasting, monitoring & controlling short and mid-term business financial performance in close relationship with the Country LT teams and N.A. functions heads
Lead and support N.A. CHC teams through business reviews, strategic planning, and budget/3YFF processes
Monitor the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing processes for management reporting purposes and statutory accounts purposes
Monitor business & statutory risks & opportunities on an ongoing basis
Participate in and support Business and Corporate Development projects that impact the US, Canadian and Puerto Rico legal entities:
o Mergers and acquisitions,
o Investigate and assess financial attractiveness of prospective business opportunities,
o Consider and integrate accounting elements of prospective business opportunities
Ensure all Global Business Unit and corporate deliverables are met in accordance with issued instructions
Review and evaluate country business cases and provide feedback based on Return on Investment and alignment to overall Sanofi, CHC GBU or product strategies
Continuously propose ways to optimize N.A. CHC profitability through building ad'hoc analyses enabling sales and resources optimization
Develop enhanced dashboard/reporting/benchmarking & KPIs analysis, including financial & non-financial indicators, with a view to deliver complex messages in a simplified and optimized manner to both finance-savvy & less-finance savvy audience
?? Integrate Market Data usage in NA business performance analysis in coordination with CMI teams. Ensure the systematic follow-up and analysis of sales in / sales out
Analyze on a regular basis, P&L by Customer / channel (at gross margin level) for key countries, and Brand (at contribution level) to ensure a proper allocation of resources
Provide strong support to new channels such as eCommerce
Monitor and propose actions to improve the Gross to net
Provide strong support to the analysis of A&P and SF costs by nature and leverage LEGO methodology for ROI analysis
Provide insightful monthly reporting and variance commentary for performance updates and present during regional updates with global CHC GBU team, NA leadership team and CHC Finance leadership team
Manage and develop a team of 29FTE's (located in Chattanooga, TN and Bridgewater, NJ) and foster close working relationship with all stakeholders
Aim at ensuring operational efficiency on the managed activities
Contribute to finance, business or transversal projects as required
Ensure compliance of internal control processes and Sarbanes-Oxley activities
Monitor internal and external audits
Monitor listed companies local obligations
Active member of the CHC Finance Leadership Team
Serve as a member of the Sanofi CHC US Leadership Team (USLT) and as a leader, participate in town hall presentations and other important site activities.
Active member of the North America Regional Finance Council to ensure coordination across GBU and Supporting Functions controlling, accounting teams and SBS
Regularly communicate, engage and interact with the full NA CHC Finance (Commercial, Industrial Development and R&D) community
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or in Finance is required.
MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
15+ years of progressive and diverse finance experience, including internal/external audit, finance expertise or finance business partner function (at country, regional or global level) or similar functions. Pharmaceutical/Consumer Health Care industry experience preferred.
The successful candidate will be required to sign and execute a restricted covenant upon hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
