Sanofi CHC's extensive portfolio of local brands include Gold Bond??, ACT??, and Selsun Blue??.
Job Summary
Sanofi CHC, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of healthcare (OTC), personal care, and skin care products is searching for a highly collaborative, action-oriented and results-driven individual to join our team as a Research and Development leader who will succeed by:
Partnering directly with senior R&D and Marketing Directors to identify differentiated, consumer-inspired innovations via highly collaborative "success through people" leadership style.
Embracing best practice project management techniques to effectively lead and manage multi-functional project teams, through technical feasibility assessments of new product innovations, with a balanced sense of urgency and pragmatism.
Serving as the single point of accountability for key initiatives in CHC's Local Categories of Skin Care, Oral Care and Hair Care.
Co-creating and balancing an actionable pipeline of innovations that is aligned to the short, medium and long term objectives of the business.
Roles and Specific Responsibilities
Drives pipeline development by influencing the matrix of scientific disciplines for assigned projects from concept ideation through feasibility within the category extended teams comprised of team members from Front end of Innovation, Medical, Regulatory and New Product Development.
Assists in the creation of new and emerging category innovations and novel platform technologies for the local brands. Drives robust early stage work plans for the development of new product concepts. Works effectively with internal teams and external companies, service providers to develop prototypes, concept samples and then scale-up these products in a robust, compliant manner to cGMP and appropriate
regulatory and safety requirements.
Works closely with marketing, regulatory, medical, supply chain, legal, and other functions to ensure high quality delivery of projects. Provides data and scientific opinions to management in order to make informed decisions on new products, project timing and launch decisions. Supports Gate 1 new innovation submissions.
Responsible for scientific development strategies through feasibility phase
Represents the "Voice of the Project" to key commercial and technical stakeholders for Post-Gate 1 initiatives.
Champions and continually embeds Sanofi CHC's Innovation model for documenting innovation initiatives to support of the efforts of Global Portfolio Management
Manages collective technical and commercial inputs for new early-stage ideas
Develop robust development strategies in partnership with R&D, Regulatory and Medical functions and/or external experts for assigned projects.
Works with Marketing and CMI to ensure that key consumer insights are captured and infused into the identification of innovative solutions for US Global brands. Partners/Assists Global Marketing to build a strategic and sustainable global innovation pipeline
Champion's collaborations with key stakeholders across technical and commercial partners to ensure timelines meet internal expectations.
Role will require periodic travel to Sanofi CHC's R&D Development Center in Chattanooga, TN (Estimated to be 10 - 20%)
Basic Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited college in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or other Healthcare Sciences required. B.S. - minimum 10 years' experience, M.S - minimum 8 years' experience, and/or PhD-minimum 4 years' experience.
Experience in consumer healthcare R&D with a track record of successfully developing and launching a range of new products in skin care, oral care or other personal cares. Product design and formulation development experience with various personal care dosage forms is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of partnering with Marketing, Regulatory, Product Development (R&D), Supply Chain and Clinical/Medical on the requirements for product design and an understanding of the regulatory approval process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude to create narratives to a variety to technical and commercial-oriented audiences.
Ability to distill complex technical matters/concepts into narratives, understandable by non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to influence while maintaining excellent working relationships with associates, internal and external collaborators.
Knowledge of the cosmetic development process and laws and regulations affecting the global healthcare industry.
Proven ability to manage change, deliver results in an ambiguous and matrixed environment.
Possesses a scientific curiosity and a genuine passion for developing differentiated, consumer-inspired products
A track record of bringing Consumer-compelling innovative products to market, on time and on budget.
Ability to establish strong collaborative partnerships with Marketing, Medical, Regulatory and
R&D/Product Development teams.
Maintains excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
Proven track record of delivery of complex projects in the USA market and global market.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
