Procom has a contract opportunity for an Oracle Consultant in Watertown, MA, for an Oracle 11g Upgrade Project. Must have previous upgrade experience from 9i or 10g to 11g (multiple upgrades preferred). Oracle Real Application Testing experience is preferred.
Oracle 11g Upgrade Project
Project team member - provide oversight and guidance regarding testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
Cost based-optimizer changes - identifying and preventing potential issues
Performance testing - assist DBA in the use of Oracle RAT and SPA
SQL Plan Management - assist DBA in the use of this new 11 feature
Query fixing and tuning - work with DBA/developer to fix code to run under 11g, tune code for high performance while maintaining efficient use of the infrastructure
