How you make a difference:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining the department's workflow by performing administrative and clerical tasks such as maintaining the database system, purchasing office supplies, typing, filing, and answering phone calls.
Additionally, they are responsible for reviewing and conducting legal research on provider applications and overseeing the approval process.
They are also accountable for creating and maintaining the credentials for all mid-level and above providers of patient care at all affiliated facilities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data for each provider in the credentialing databases, and timely license renewals for the company.
Key
Responsibilities:
Performs general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and distributing mail.
Coordinates department operations, maintains files and schedules appointments.
Manages provider credentialing process, maintains provider files and updates credentialing database.
Creates and distributes reports on credentialing activities and conducts file audits.
Receives provider requests, reviews applications and tracks correspondence, attending meetings and producing minutes as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education High school diploma or G.
E.
D.
Experience General knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheets and word processing.
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Formal secretarial training and medical terminology knowledge desirable.

years of credentialing experience required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
